Group Therapy
At Compadre Therapy, our group therapy services offer a supportive, collaborative space for individuals to explore, learn, and grow together. Led by experienced therapists, our group sessions address a variety of concerns, including anger management, substance abuse, grief and loss, mood disorders, and other challenges. Through evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Interventions, we empower participants to develop healthier coping strategies, build resilience, and foster meaningful connections with others facing similar struggles. Our approach is grounded in the NASW Code of Ethics and guided by Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, affirming each person’s right to mental and emotional well-being.
In group therapy, individuals gain the unique benefits of shared experience, empathy, and community support. Participants can share their stories, listen to others, and practice new skills in a safe, judgment-free environment. Each session is facilitated with compassion and respect, embodying the spirit of being a “compadre”—a supportive companion. Our groups provide a nurturing space where participants can gain insight, receive encouragement, and work toward positive change together. Whether coping with loss, managing anger, overcoming addiction, or finding balance with a mood disorder, group therapy at Compadre Therapy is a powerful step toward healing, growth, and renewed strength through shared journey and support.
